Purple Story
Helping businesses grow has always been Giselle’s mission and it is what propelled her into forming her own company in 1994.
Her passion for business started when she got her hands on a Fortune magazine. By day she would perform chemical and wastewater analysis at the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) laboratory after which she would spend her evenings dreaming of businesses to build and markets to conquer. She would later have her marketing dream answered quite by accident at a corrugated packaging company where, just out of University, she had a part time job. Never afraid to try anything new, she asked her Managing Director to join the marketing team and to her surprise, he said, “YES!”
Self taught, Giselle continued to be exposed to various companies within different industries as she was thrown into the deep end, learning as she went along. Her major break through into the marketing and advertising industry came in 1989 when she approached the Managing Director of a growing offset printing company to sell him corrugated packaging. He offered her a job – and the rest – as they say, is history! Working with advertising agencies and marketing departments of large national and multinational companies, Giselle’s knowledge of the market place and strategies for improved sales increased. She began to appreciate the importance of a well-printed piece in helping sell any product or service and now served customers in the capacity of print consultant and advisor.
As an accomplished musician, adept at playing several instruments, Giselle understands that every musical piece is built on a foundation of the same notes but each is unique because of the sequence in which the notes are played and the creativity of the composer.
Similarly every business may be built using basic principles yet each is different because the combination of activities, the how they do what they do and why, produces a different story. Giselle helps her customers become aware of the stories that exist within their walls and show them how they can use those stories to pursue organizational goals.
Her customers do not have the time or need the additional hassle to get quotes - research ideas, or write copy for speeches, case studies or web sites. Time is always money, and Giselle always ensures that her clients’ money is well spent by continuing to provide value packed resources!
